Al-Ahliyya Amman University Is the First to Apply for Institutional Inclusion in the National Qualifications Framework
The Accreditation & Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions announced that it will receive requests for official inclusion in the National Qualifications Framework through a special platform on its official website. It is worth noting that Al-Ahliyya Amman University was one of the first to apply for institutional inclusion in the National Qualifications Framework, along with Al-Balqa Applied University. The national framework, which consists of 10 levels, is a hierarchical classification of all levels and types of qualifications and certificates associated with formal or non-formal education programs. According to this framework, descriptors are stated for each level to define the knowledge, skills and competencies that should be associated with the qualification. It is worth mentioning that the national framework works on the following:• Regulating the qualifications issued by the various educational and training institutions in Jordan.• Ensuring consistency of learning outcomes in educational institutions.• Identifying clearly the qualification levels and learning outcomes of the educational programs that are placed at those levels.• Ensuring that the standards of qualifications are equal with those of the educational and training institutions in other countries of the world.• Providing educational and training institutions with appropriate academic standards for designing and reviewing program planning and ensuring their quality. Note that the application is expected to be completed within three months.
