Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosts the Director of El-Hassan Youth Award

Prof. Sadeq Hamed, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, met Ms. Samar Kaladani, the Director of El-Hassan Youth Award. Prof. Hamed expressed the University support for the Award and its objectives and the University full readiness to cooperate and coordinate with the Award Committee to implement its various programs to achieve its sublime goals. He stressed that the University will be a key partner for these programs, which will be reflected positively on the students and help develop their skills and abilities. In turn, Ms. Kaladani thanked the President of the University for the facilities offered by the University to the Award. On the sidelines of the meeting, Ms. Kaladani gave a lecture entitled (El-Hassan Youth Award), which was organized by AAU Deanship of Student Affairs. She addressed the philosophy of the Award that is concerned with developing the humanitarian aspects, sports activities, creative skills, and exploratory trips that promote adventure spirit, teamwork and team spirit.She added that the vision of the Award stems from the directives of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, which called for focusing on a set of human values needed by the humanitarian community and developing life skills. She noted that the main objectives of the Award include encouraging participation rather than competition and choosing activities according to the participant’s interests. The Award further aims to foster communication and participation among generations and develop young people's character through achievable and balanced programs, skill development, affiliation, and active citizenship. The Director of the Award reviewed a range of external and internal activities and talked about the acquired skills and the reform role of the Award as an educational reform movement for all elements the educational process. The Award supports the moral aspect and fosters enthusiasm among the participants, she added. Ms. Kaladani tackled the outstanding role of the deanships of student affairs at the universities, which provide students with the skills that will refine their personalities, develop their expertise, and enhance their role in serving their community and country by encouraging them to engage in the Award programs to achieve a better future for themselves and for their country. At the end of the lecture, which was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Mustafa Attiyat, the Award coordinator at the University, Mr. Raed Al Zoubi, and a large gathering of students, the Director of the Award answered the audience questions.
