Al-Ahliyya Amman University Hosts the Champions Mo'taz Aljunaidi and Suhail Alnashash
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted Suhail Alnashash and Mo'taz Aljunaidi, the world Champions in persons' sport with special needs, with the aim to promote and spread awareness about issues of special needs people. Both champions talked about their stories of challenge and success, where Alnashash, during his speech, confirmed that he was able to overcome the loss of his eyesight to become a champion in the international marathons. He won the Black Iris Award for the Best Blind Athlete in the last year, in addition to numerous awards, gold and bronze medals, and the most recent one was the award of the First Arabic Blind Runner in an international competition of 42 km in California International Marathon. Alnashash was able to overcome his disability with persistence as he spread his message to the world that the blind man is capable of giving, excellence and innovation. In this regard, the champion, Mo'taz Aljunaidi , confirmed that his disease of Infantile Paralysis was the reason behind his success; his disability to walk did not prevent him from being a champion involved in weight lifting contests at various global, Olympic, and Arab levels, where he was granted the title of the Highest Number in Weight Lifting, in addition to many other awards. Regarding Aljunaidi's challenge and persistence path, he said that he never gave up, and that he earned the respect of everyone. The lecture was attended by a number of faculty and administrative members in addition to the University students.
