Al-Ahliyya Amman University Hosts a Workshop on “Employment Reality and Training Opportunities in Jordanian Hotels”

In line with Al-Ahliyya Amman University mission to provide students with the required skills and training, and equip them with tools that help them build a remarkable career path with the help of experts in different areas of work, the Department of Hotel Management and Tourism in Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted a workshop under the title “Employment Reality and Training Opportunities in Jordanian Hotels” in collaboration with the Sheraton hotel and in the presence of the Assistant Dean, faculty members and students of the Department. Assistant Director of Personnel Affairs at the Sheraton Hotel, Mr. Yahya Zayed, participated in the workshop and delivered a lecture on the services provided by the Sheraton Hotel and Starwoodz Chains. He outlined the sections of the Hotel and its organizational and administrative structure. He also indicated the employment opportunities available in the Hotel and the practical and academic conditions that must be met by applicants. The training opportunities and programs offered by the Hotel to students were among the issues raised in the workshop. Mr. Zayed commended the results of the agreement signed between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Sheraton Hotel, which offers training opportunities for students in the Department of Hotel Management and Tourism. Mr. Zayed observed the high professional level and commitment of the trainee students of the Department. In the end of the lecture, the Head of Hotel Management and Tourism Department at the University thanked the participants and attendees and praised the efforts of the University in supporting the Department. He also thanked the Sheraton hotel and its staff for their constant cooperation in supporting and assisting students of the Department through the training programs and lectures offered.
