Al-Ahliyya Amman University Holds “Youth and Monitoring the Performance of Municipalities and Modern Media” Workshop

In order to promote understanding of the role of municipalities in the community among students, Al-Ahliyya Amman University/Career Qualification Office at King Abdullah II Fund, in collaboration with Vision Institute for Civil Society and Good Governance Studies, held a workshop entitled “Youth and Monitoring the Performance of Municipalities and Modern Media” under the supervision of the Director of the Institute Dr. May Taher. This workshop aims to familiarize students with the role of municipalities, which is not limited to provision of services, but also involves a leading role in the development of the local community. The workshop also addressed Jordan Municipalities Act and how to monitor performance through evaluating its tasks undertaken by the community. The workshop included presenting an overview of community media and its importance and training students on creating blogs. The workshop will be held over two days in Nizar Qabbani Auditorium, Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
