Al-Ahliyya Amman University Holds Specialized Quality Courses for University Students
Based on the objectives of Al-Ahliyya Amman University to refine the professional and social skills of the University students and enhance their knowledge, the Office of Career Qualification of King Abdullah II Fund held several specialized quality courses on communication skills and emotional intelligence. Trainer Hanan Awad held “Communication Skills” course, which aims to develop the language of communication that ensures success in personal and professional life. This course addressed verbal and non-verbal communication and listening skills. Dr. Rima Gishan, psychology professor, held “Emotional Intelligence” course which aims to enhance decision-making skills and the art of leadership that enables students to manage their professional and social life more efficiently and effectively and hone their skills through practical and interactive training directed towards young graduates from all over Jordan. These courses were held in collaboration with Skills Program for recruiting and training fresh graduates of Jordanian universities, which is one of the programs of Business Development Center, a Jordanian development non-profit centre that aims to recruit Jordanian universities graduates, provide them with the needed skills and training, and equip them with the tools that will help them build a distinguished career through the assistance of experts in various fields. This initial training is based on several themes that cover soft and personal skills of students.
