Al-Ahliyya Amman University Holds a Lecture on “Contemporary Iraqi Art”
In keeping with Al-Ahliyya Amman University keenness to foster theoretical and applied scientific and cultural activities, the Graphic Design Department at the Faculty of Architecture and Design in the University hosted Dr. Ibrahim Abdul Razaq Rahim to deliver a lecture on “Contemporary Iraqi Art”. Dr. Rahim commenced the lecture by talking about the history and pioneers of the Iraqi art, plastic art movement, and development of the various Iraqi art schools and artists from the sixties generation to the younger generation. Dr. Rahim presented an overview of the most important Iraqi works of art. At the end of the meeting, students engaged in discussion and dialogue with the lecturer during which he answered all questions and inquiries in the presence of faculty members, laboratory supervisors, and the University students.
