Al-Ahliyya Amman University Holds a Lecture Entitled “His Majesty King Abdullah II Vision for Reform and Elections”

Deanship of Student Affairs/Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in cooperation with We Are All Jordan Youth Commission, organized a lecture entitled “His Majesty King Abdullah II Vision for Reform and Elections”. The lecture was commenced by Mr. Tariq Kharabsheh of We Are All Jordan Youth Commission by introducing the Commission which represents the youth body of King Abdullah II Fund for Development. He demonstrated this initiative which stems from national duty and youth work. Dr. Osama Al-Hanaineh, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Community Service and Activities at the University, addressed the constitutional amendments and Jordan reform process. Students were engaged in dialogue about the mechanism of electing parliament members who represent the people and encouraging young people to mobilize positively to create a strong parliament. The talks also tackled the role of civil society organizations in elections through meeting young people in all Jordan provinces and identifying and recording their views in a booklet to be given to the parliament candidates in order to be taken into account in their election agendas. The youth were also urged to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
