Al-Ahliyya Amman University discusses mechanisms to activate the partnership with Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey

The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, discussed on Tuesday 7-9-2021, with the President of Istanbul Medipol University, Prof. Omar Siran, at the university’s campus in Istanbul, the mechanisms for activating the partnership between the two. Both presidents agreed on the activating plan for the memorandum of understanding that was signed last month in Amman, based on which, a group of Al-Ahliyya Amman University students will study PhD in engineering and business disciplines, as part of a full scholarship program offered to the university. They also agreed on the exchange of students between the two universities mechanism, in order to study a free semester or study the Arabic and Turkish languages, in addition to mechanisms for joint scientific research in various disciplines. The delegation was taken on a tour of the facilities of Istanbul Medipol University, during which they met with Prof. Hussain Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Gokhan Silhatarglu, Dean of the Faculty of Business, and Prof. Yatir Oslo.The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University was accompanied on his visit by Dr. Anas Al-Saud, Assistant to the President and Director of the Center for International Liaison. Some of the meetings were attended by Istanbul Medipol University, Director of the International Relations Office, Salim Vardarbas, and Dr. Irina Shlinkova.At the end of the meeting, the shields of the two universities were exchanged between the two presidents. It is worth noting that Istanbul Medipol University, which was founded in 2009, is one of the most advanced universities in the world. It was recently ranked among the list of the top thousand universities in the world according to the Times classification and has the latest university buildings in three different locations in Istanbul, with more than 40,000 students affiliated. The university, which is distinguished for its medical specialties, also owns eleven hospitals in Turkey.
