Al-Ahliyya Amman University Concludes its Student Chess Championship and Honors the Winners
Al-Ahliyya Amman University, through the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Department of Student Activities and Clubs, organized the “Men’s and Women’s Chess Championship” with the participation of a distinguished group of students who showcased high levels of skill and concentration.
The tournament witnessed strong competition among the students in an energetic and enthusiastic sporting atmosphere.
In the men’s category, the results were as follows:
Abdulrahman Mohammad Subha from the Faculty of Information Technology won first place. The second place went to Amro Emad Al-Kilani from the Faculty of Information Technology, while third place was shared by two students, Uday Abdullah Al-Sharqawi from the Faculty of Information Technology and Jawad Jamal Sawan from the Faculty of Engineering.
In the women’s category, the results were as follows:
Hala Ahed Mousa from the Faculty of Information Technology secured first place. Second place went to Dina Sami Khader from the Faculty of Pharmacy, while third place was shared by Huda Ahmad Al-Jabali from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Nada Abdulmunem Abdullah from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences.
At the conclusion of the championship, the President of the University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Ahmad Hamdan, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib, and the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Sultan Al-Masaeed, crowned the top three winners in the presence of several faculty and administrative staff members. The event reflected the university’s continued commitment to supporting student activities and campus tournaments.
