Al-Ahliyya Amman University celebrates the Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Immigration
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, AAU celebrated the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad Immigration Day on Sunday, 01/03/1431 AH, corresponding to 20/12/2009. The celebration was held in Nizar Qabbani Auditorium at 12:00 PM. The ceremony was commenced with the national anthem, followed by verses from the Holy Quran. Professor Sharaf Quda of the University of Jordan delivered a lecture in which he introduced the audience to the lessons learned from the Prophet immigration. Dr. Ahmed Al-Zubi, Islamic Jurisprudence and Theology Professor, addressed certain aspects of the immigration journey. The celebration was concluded by Islamic chants about the Prophet Muhammad performed by Bilal Al-Qubaisi, whose performance was well-received by the audience. The ceremony was attended by deans, heads of department, directors of departments and a large number of professors and students of the University. At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Osama Al-Hanaina, Dean of Student Affairs, presented the University Shield to the lecturers and to the nasheed artist.
