Al-Ahliyya Amman University announces the winners of the Hourani Prize for Art and Design in its first session, Creativity and Innovation Centenary.
Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, His Excellency Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, announced the conclusion of the first cycle of the Hourani Prize for Art and Design Creativity and Innovation Centennial. The prizes were distributed to the winners in a meeting held on Monday, 7/6/2021, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Dr. Rama Al-Rabadi, the Head of the Graphic Design Department, Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh, a member of the jury, Mr. Raed Jarrar, and the students who won the first prizes for each axis:1. Lynn Aknebi/ Photography.2. Somaya Ammar / drawing.3. Ruqayya Emad / advertising poster design.4. Muhammad Mutee' Al-Hourani and Suleiman Al-Najjar / animated graphic design.The President of the University commended the efforts of the winners and wished them more creativity and progress. The Dean of the Faculty also thanked the external jury consisting of Dr. Yazan Al-Amrat, Dr. Mansour Al-Sharif and Mr. Raed Jarrar, and the internal jury consisting of Dr. Imran Hassan and Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh.The subject of the award is a continuous approach to the mission and objectives of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in achieving development, developing education and supporting the cultural scene among young people in Jordanian society. In addition to enhancing the role of youth in understanding various national, cultural and societal issues through developing the capacity for creativity and innovation.
