Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Ministry of Youth Organize a Workshop on Violence and Extremism

The Deanship of Student Affairs and the Deanship of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University have organized a joint workshop with the Ministry of Youth on violence, extremism and terrorism from a religious perspective .The workshop was held at the stadium of the Faculty of Arts and SciencesThe General Mufti of the Gendarmerie, Dr. Mithal Bani Issa addressed the most prominent mechanisms that protect the youth religiously and educationally. These mechanisms are derived from the values of the Islamic religion and other heavenly religions that prohibit murder and atoning others. He called for promoting the cultural dialogue and the acceptance of others. The workshop was organized within the strategic plan of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the University to combat the phenomenon of violence and extremism. The workshop also aimed to fortify Jordanian youth and student environment from forms of scourge, which has become a way to dismantle world societies. The workshop ended with a dialogue between the lecturer and students who emphasized their rejection of this phenomenon which led some youths to the abyss and into being out casted from their communities.The Deanship of Student Affairs along with the Deanships of Faculties at the University will continue organizing workshops that promote security and national safety particularly renouncing hate discourse and urging religious discourse and anti-addiction drugs.
