Al-Ahliyya Amman University Advances Global Research Leadership through Strategic Open Access Partnership with MDPI

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, and the Dean of Scien- tific Research, Professor Dr. Ahmad Samed Abu Arabi Al-Adwan, has signed an open access publishing agree- ment with the global publishing house MDPI. This qualitative step enhances the university’s research trajecto- ry and aligns with the latest global trends in knowledge dissemination. The agreement aims to enable researchers at Al-Ahliyya Amman University to publish their scientific work directly through an open access system. This will contribute to increasing the visibility of the university’s research output and making it globally accessible without restrictions, thereby enhancing citation opportuni- ties and academic impact. Professor Dr. Ahmad Samed Al-Adwan emphasized that this agreement is part of the university’s strategic direction to support scientific research and improve its quality. He noted that providing open access publishing opportunities for researchers is a fundamental step in fostering innovation and knowledge exchange, as well as improving the university’s ranking at both regional and international levels. He further stated that this agree- ment is one of several initiatives led by the Deanship of Scientific Research, highlighting that more initiatives are forthcoming to support researchers and strengthen the research environment at the university. He added that Al-Ahliyya Amman University continues its efforts to build effective partnerships with interna- tional publishers and research institutions, which positively reflects on the research environment and supports faculty members and researchers across various disciplines. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to adopting global best practices in scientific publishing and providing a stimulating environment for creativity and research excellence, contributing to sustainable devel- opment and reinforcing the university’s role as a leading academic institution in the region.
