The Faculty of Agricultural Technology actively participated in the 24th National Olive Festival and Rural Products Exhibition, showcasing its role in advancing agricultural entrepreneurship. The event, inaugurated by His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Khaled Hneifat, representing His Majesty King Abdullah II, took place at the Exhibition Hall in Mecca Mall. Representing the faculty, Dean Dr. Subhiyya Suifan, accompanied by Vice Dean for Accreditation and Quality Affairs Dr. Murad Arshid Al-Maaytah, attended the opening ceremony alongside several students. The faculty's involvement highlights its commitment to fostering innovative agricultural practices. One notable contribution was by student Abdullah Abu Khashk, who presented high-quality extra virgin olive oil produced under his supervision, from harvesting at the farm to processing at the mill this season. The festival underscores Jordan's significance as a hub of agricultural diversity and innovation. It coincides with the national celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II's ascension to the throne, emphasizing the olive tree's importance as a symbol of resilience and generosity. This sacred tree represents more than just an agricultural product; it embodies Jordanian heritage, linking the traditions of the past with the modern spirit of local products.
