Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought 2026
Dr. Rasha Al-Tarawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated in the activities of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought 2026, organized by Mutah University in cooperation with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and a number of partner organizations, under the theme “Rangelands: Respect – Recognize – Restore.”
Dr. Al-Tarawneh delivered a lecture entitled “Sustainability and Rangelands: Transitioning towards Crop Production Efficiency 2026,” in which she highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable agricultural practices, enhancing production efficiency, and leveraging agricultural technology to address the challenges of desertification and drought and achieve food security, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
This participation reflects the Faculty of Agricultural Technology’s commitment to actively contributing to scientific and national initiatives, strengthening its role in knowledge dissemination and the exchange of expertise, and supporting efforts to protect natural resources and promote sustainability.
