Agricultural Technology at AAU hosts students from the University of Jordan

As part of academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise among Jordanian universities, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University welcomed a delegation of students from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Jordan, accompanied by Dr. Hamoud Al-Debei, on a scientific visit aimed at enhancing students’ practical and theoretical knowledge. The visit included a scientific lecture titled “Fundamentals and Principles of Plant Tissue Culture” delivered by Dr. Lana Al-Qaddoumi, in addition to a hands-on training session in the college’s laboratories, supervised by Eng. Tasneem Ali and Eng. Farah Abu Siam, on preparing plant growth media, as well as selecting and introducing plant explants in the plant tissue culture lab. The students also explored the Smart Agricultural House, where they were introduced to the latest modern farming systems, including hydroponics and soilless agriculture, and observed practical applications that contribute to advancing agricultural production and strengthening food security. At the end of the visit, the guests expressed their gratitude to the faculty administration for providing this valuable opportunity, which enriches their scientific and practical skills while fostering greater cooperation and exchange of expertise.
