Accreditation of the specialization “Agricultural Biotechnology and Gene Engineering / Bachelor’s Program” by the Council of the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University is currently offering a smart, innovative and dynamic academic program in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering that leads to a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Biotechnology.In the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, we adopt a systems biology approach whereby we explore, research and analyze agricultural cases and phenomena to understand the interactions between agricultural components (soil, plants, animals, environment, climate and humans) leading to technological advances that enable farmers to provide the tools and resources to make agriculture more profitable and sustainable.Teaching and research curricula have been developed to enrich and add value to students’ learning and knowledge which will enable them to develop skills and competencies to enter the labor market and address issues related to food and environment and the integration of agriculture with sustainable development goals
