Academic Excellence of Bachelor’s Students in Cosmetic Science at AAU and Plans to Launch a Master’s Program
Professor Sari Hamdan, University President, met with students from the Department of Cosmetic Science, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Professor Ghaleb Oraikat, the Head of the Department of Cosmetic Science, Dr. Youssef Al-Abeini, Dr. Safwan Al-Adwan, and several faculty members from the department.
During the meeting, Professor Hamdan emphasized the importance of academic and practical excellence for students in the department, highlighting the need to benefit from the curriculum and develop practical skills as essential components in preparing them for the job market.
He also stressed the university’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment equipped with the latest technologies and tools in the field of cosmetics, which enhances students’ capabilities and prepares them to compete effectively in the workforce.
Dr. Safwan Al-Adwan, a consultant dermatologist and cosmetic specialist and a faculty member in the department, spoke about the vital role of graduating students in showcasing high-level skills, which positively reflects on the reputation of the program’s graduates. He highlighted the importance of having Bachelor’s holders in Cosmetic Science work in dermatology and cosmetic clinics and centers.
Professor Ghaleb Oraikat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, outlined the future vision for the Cosmetic Science program. He announced plans, under the guidance of the university president, to introduce additional advanced equipment for the department’s laboratories. This initiative aims to ensure that students receive top-tier training aligned with labor market demands.
The dean also revealed the university’s intention to establish a Master’s program in Cosmetic Science, providing students with the opportunity to pursue higher studies in the field.
The students expressed their gratitude to the university administration for its continuous efforts to enhance their academic programs and provide practical training opportunities that refine their skills and help them achieve their professional ambitions.
The meeting concluded with an open dialogue between the university president and the students, during which he listened to their feedback and responded to their inquiries.
