AAU's Compassion: Clothing Drive for Mental Health Patients

On behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs and the Chair of the High Committee for Activities and Community Service at our AAU, Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyat, Dr. Noor Al-Dabbas, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, and Mr. Issam Al-Sahar, Assistant Dean, supervised a delegation comprising faculty and administrative members, along with students from the university's volunteer club, in a visit to the National Center for Mental Health in Fuheis. The campaign involved 10 faculty and administrative members and 19 students from the university's volunteer club. Its objective was to support the center's service recipients by distributing clothing to 300 individuals in the hospital. Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyat emphasized that this campaign aligns with the university's ongoing collaboration and support. He expressed AAU's readiness to provide comprehensive assistance to the center's residents. The delegation distributed clothes and conducted a field tour to assess conditions and needs. Dr. Hassan Al-Sakhni, the Director of the National Center for Mental Health, appreciated AAU's role in serving the local community. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between the university and the center, which include providing training opportunities for students. The center is also prepared to offer informative lectures to students.
