AAU Students Visit Dar Al-Zahraa for the Elderly

In pursuit of achieving the AAU’s vision, mission and objectives and activating the cooperation with the local community, a group of AAU students visited the Dar Al-Zahraa for the elderly in Marj Al – Hamam on Wednesday, 12/12/2018. This visit is part of the co-curricular activities of the Faculty which aims to achieve the local community service goals. The visit also aims to deepen the positive attitudes and sense of responsibility among students towards the value of honoring parents as mentioned in the Holy Quran verse: “Allah commanded you to worship none except Him and to be kind to your parents”. During this visits, various symbolic gifts were handed to the elderly including: charity packages, clothes, sweets and more. The visit was supervised by Dr. Sawsan Badra Khan from the Department of Social and Human Sciences and Dr. Basma Al-Sharif from the Department of Psychology and Special Education at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
