AAU Students Shine at Graduation Ceremony of the 2nd Cohort of the National Nashama Youth Leadership Program

A distinguished group of students from Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) proudly participated in the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of the “Nashama” National Youth Leadership Program, held under the patronage of Minister of Youth Eng. Yazan Al-Shdeifat on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The event was organized by the Center for Youth Leadership Development, with the presence of Acting Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth Dr. Yaseen Hleil, Center Director Dr. Shorouq Al-Hashem, and 33 young leaders from across Jordan. AAU was represented by: • Bana Nabil Al-Saafin – Faculty of Pharmacy • Malak Nidal Al-Hourani – Faculty of Pharmacy • Adam Odehallah Al-Hidari – Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management • Samer Jameel Al-Ghadaira – Faculty of Law The program ran from July 23, 2024, to April 17, 2025, totaling 80 training hours, during which participants received intensive training in leadership, community initiative management, volunteering, and communication skills, alongside interactive sessions with national figures and subject-matter experts. In his address, Minister Al-Shdeifat emphasized the importance of investing in youth and developing their capacities to prepare future leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to the nation’s progress. He praised the program’s role in empowering youth and aligning with the Economic Modernization Vision and National Youth Strategy, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, economic empowerment, and active citizenship. Dr. Shorouq Al-Hashem described the program as a national platform for nurturing young leaders, highlighting the vital role of youth potential in shaping a brighter future. Representing the graduates, AAU student Malak Al-Hourani delivered a heartfelt speech in which she expressed her pride and gratitude for being part of this transformative experience. She described the program as a turning point in their leadership journey, providing them with valuable life and leadership skills through workshops, initiatives, and entrepreneurial projects. The ceremony concluded with Minister Al-Shdeifat distributing certificates to the graduates, commending the efforts of the Center for Youth Leadership Development for organizing and delivering a successful program.
