AAU Students Participate in the Together … Against Poverty & Hunger Marathon

On the occasion of the World Food Day, a group of AAU students and employees participated in the Together … Against Poverty & Hunger Marathon under the patronage of her Excellence, the Minister of Social Development. This event which took place on Friday, 18/10/2019 was organized by the Nubul Foundation for Development & Training. Many public and private institutions and citizens took part in the Marathon which kicked off in Al-Hussein Public Parks. At the end point of the Marathon, many activities were held including a folklore show performed by the Greater Amman Municipality Band, telematch games for children and an artistic section presented by the Jordanian artist Mahmud Al- Daajeh. This march aimed to fight poverty and hunger and achieve food security for chaste families by extending food aid to them and training in implementing productive projects for young men and women. At the closing ceremony, the Marathon sponsors and participants were honored and a certificate of appreciation was handed to AAU for its participation and its continued support in serving the local community.
