AAU Students Majoring in the Medical Engineering Rank First in the Annual Competition of Graduation Projects of the Jordanian Engineers Association

AAU students majoring in the Medical Engineering ranked first over all Jordanian public and private universities in the annual competition of graduation projects organized by the Jordanian Engineers Association – the Electrical Engineering Division. The idea of the winning project Controlling an electric wheelchair for people with special needs by using multiple vital signs is based on inventing an electric wheelchair that serves people with special needs. The work of this wheelchair is based on different orders that provide paralysis patients easy movement without needing assistance. This is done by using some parts of their bodies or their senses, which issue orders to electronic sensors that control the motors inside the wheelchair.It is worth mentioning that the winning project which was supervised by Dr. Jamal Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi was carried out by the following students: Talal Tabbaa, Mustafa Abu Thuwaba, Muhammad Qamhia and Momen Al-Khawandi.
