AAU’s Faculty of Pharmacy Participates in Regional Workshop for Faculty Development

As part of Al-Ahliyya Amman University's commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education, fostering innovation, and deepening regional collaboration, Dr. Arwa Omar Al-Khatib, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, participated in the 8th Regional Workshop for Faculty Development in Pharmacy Colleges. The workshop was held in Dubai on January 10–11, 2025. This distinguished workshop was organized in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). It brought together leaders in pharmaceutical education from 24 pharmacy colleges across the region, including representatives from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and all pharmacy colleges in the UAE. The workshop provided an exceptional platform for exchanging ideas and fostering innovation. Participants discussed critical topics related to the development of pharmaceutical education, including: • Best practices in experiential education and supervisor development. • Competency-based assessments, correction mechanisms, and skill evaluations. • The integration of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical education and its application by faculty members. This participation reflects Al-Ahliyya Amman University's dedication to enhancing the quality of education and equipping its faculty with the latest tools and methodologies to align with global standards in pharmacy education.
