AAU’s Faculty of Information Technology Welcomes New Students and Honors Academic Achievers for the Academic Year 2022/2023

Dr. Qasim Khurma, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, met with the new students for the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. The meeting took place in the Nizar Qabbani auditorium, and it was attended by the deputy deans, department heads, and several faculty members of the faculty. Dr. Qasim welcomed the new students and offered them a set of educational tips and messages, emphasizing the importance of diligence in seeking knowledge and adhering to the university's rules and regulations. Dr. Musleh Abu Al-Haj, the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, stressed the significance of students maintaining communication with academic advisors through various means, such as email, Microsoft Teams, or other available platforms. He assured students that all faculty members are always available to answering their inquiries in both academic and personal matters, and that the faculty is dedicated to providing them with the necessary facilities and services. The students were also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, including local, regional, and international competitions, given their importance in enhancing students' skills and capabilities. Dr. Abu Al-Haj mentioned the university's readiness to support students in their participation in such competitions. Furthermore, D Abu Al-Haj explained the nature of the study for the various types of courses, in-person, blended, and online, that will be implemented during the current semester. The meeting concluded with an open dialogue in which the faculty administration addressed the students' inquiries and suggestions. Finally, the dean of the faculty honored the outstanding students for their exceptional efforts during the academic year 2022/2023, expressing his best wishes for the success and prosperity of all students in their university studies.
