AAU’s Faculty of Agricultural Technology Welcomes a Delegation from the Vocational Training Corporation

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, AAU’s Faculty of Agricultural Technology, represented by its Dean Dr. Subhiyya Saifan, welcomed a delegation from the Vocational Training Corporation, led by the Agricultural Project Director Engineer Marwan Al-Hajjaj, along with a group of newly graduated agricultural engineers undergoing training to obtain certified degrees in hydroponics. The delegation toured the smart greenhouse project and learned about various hydroponic systems such as the floating raft system, the pipe system, the drip system, and the Dutch bucket system, as well as the fertilization and electronic irrigation systems. Participants were also introduced to the faculty's state-of-the-art equipment and laboratories, including the molecular biology lab, the plant tissue lab, and the general lab. This visit forms part of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology’s strategic initiative to expand collaborative efforts between the university and national institutions. The goal is to provide students with opportunities for specialized training that both the university and the Vocational Training Corporation offer. The university, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, expressed a keen interest in developing a cooperative agreement between AAU and the Vocational Training Corporation that would benefit the graduates of agricultural faculties from both the university and the vocational institution.
