AAU’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Participates in Meeting of Center Directors with the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship

Dr. Omar Abduljabbar, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Amman Al-Ahliyya University, participated in a meeting with H.E. Eng. Sami Smirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, alongside directors of innovation centers at Jordanian universities. The meeting was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Amman. The gathering, initiated by Dr. Al-Baraa and graciously hosted by the Minister, aimed to enhance communication and collaboration between the Ministry and university innovation centers, and to coordinate national efforts in supporting entrepreneurship and technological innovation within the academic environment. Discussions during the meeting addressed ways to develop the innovation infrastructure in Jordanian universities, activate partnerships with both the public and private sectors, explore funding and support opportunities for student entrepreneurial projects, and exchange expertise among the various centers. During the meeting, Dr. Abduljabbar emphasized the importance of integration between universities and relevant national institutions, highlighting the growing role of university centers in fostering creative thinking and transforming innovative ideas into projects with tangible economic and social impact.
