AAU Ranked 761 Globally, First Among Private Universities Locally, and Third Nationally After University of Jordan and Jordan University of Science and Technology in QS 2026 Rankings

Al-Ahliyya Amman University has made remarkable progress compared to previous years in its global standing among top universities. It has been ranked among the top 761 universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2026, securing first place among Jordanian private universities and third among all Jordanian universities, following the University of Jordan and Jordan University of Science and Technology. Just days earlier, the university also achieved a distinguished academic milestone by placing in the (101–200) category globally out of 2,318 participating universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025. Moreover, AAU had a strong presence in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2025, securing 186th place out of nearly 1,200 Asian universities, highlighting the university’s continuous advancement in strengthening its academic, scientific, and research standing locally, regionally, and globally. Additionally, the university ranked 16th in the 2024 Arab University Rankings issued by the Association of Arab Universities, and 28th in the Times Arab University Rankings. In this context, the University President, Professor Sari Hamdan, stated: “We are proud of this qualitative achievement, which adds to the university’s impressive record of accomplishments. We are honored by this advanced ranking, which reflects the combined efforts of all the university's faculties and units in striving for excellence.” For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, said: “These outstanding rankings are a badge of honor for the university and a testament to the excellence of the strategic path it follows.” He added: “These unprecedented achievements strengthen the university’s academic and research reputation and affirm its role as a pioneering educational institution with international academic influence.” Dr. Maher Al-Hourani also congratulated President Professor Sari Hamdan, the academic staff, and all university members on this significant achievement, reaffirming the university’s commitment to achieving its global competitiveness goals by offering high-quality education aligned with the highest international standards.
