AAU President Meets New Pre-1948 Palestinian Arab Students

Al-Ahliyya Amman University President, Professor Sadeq Hamed and the deans of the University faculties have met the new Pre-1948 Palestinian students and their families at the Nizar Qabbani Auditorium. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Hamed welcomed the students and their families, expressing his pleasure to see them following the example of other University colleagues, some of whom are still studying at the University while others have graduated and are now employed in the public and private sectors. The President stressed that the students will get the undivided attention of the University Administration and staff members of the faculties. He added that AAU is a pioneer of higher education, being the first private university in the region. The University, he emphasized, is so keen to excel in providing the essential services to its students to maintain a congenial atmosphere for them to study. The families of the students expressed their gratefulness for the warm welcome and generous hospitality they received at AAU, wishing the University further progress and prosperity. At the end of the meeting, Professor Sadeq answered questions raised by the audience. Afterwards, the students and their families were taken on a tour of the various University facilities and faculties, and listened to an overview provided by deans of faculties on the specializations offered by the University. The families also visited the students hostels and viewed the modern equipment and facilities available there.
