AAU President meets deans and department heads

Professor Sadek Hamid, president of the Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU), met the deans and department heads of the University faculties to confirm the importance of such meetings in enriching the teaching process. In the meeting, a number of academic issues were discussed including the curriculum and the introduction of new majors that are needed in the market. The President also spoke about institutional and programmatic accreditation forms that should be filled in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education requirements and which are being followed up by the Ministry’s liaison officer. The President then focused on the important role of the department heads and encouraged them to hold meetings more often to discuss up-to-date matters that relate to the departments and the faculties in order for these issues to be discussed afterwards in the meetings of the Council of Deans. The President answered questions raised by the audience, and then the faculty members thanked the President for this valuable meeting and wished the best for the University.
