AAU Participates in the Workshop of the Scientific Research & Innovation Fund in the Ministry of Higher Education

AAU participated in a workshop dealing with the mechanism of supporting entrepreneurial and innovative projects which was held by the Scientific Research & Innovation Fund in the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. In this workshop, the mechanism of the Fund function in receiving, following up and supporting innovative and pioneering projects was clarified. The University was represented by Dr. Anas Al-Saud, the Director of the AAU Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Incubator. This workshop was attended by a number of directors of innovation and entrepreneurship centers in the Jordanian public and private universities, the representatives of private sector companies and bodies and ministries involved in innovation and entrepreneurship fields along with the representative of the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) and the International Foundation (Innovation 360). This workshop comes within the framework of the Fund efforts in contributing to the dissemination of the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthening it in the community in addition to upgrading the standard of applied scientific research in Jordan to ensure the quality and effectiveness of its outcomes. It is worth noting that the Fund has announced on last Tuesday that it has started receiving initial applications for scientific research projects and innovative & entrepreneurial projects for the first research session of 2019 and will continue till the end of Thursday, 14/2/2019. This workshop also comes as a prelude to field visits of universities that the Fund intends to undertake soon. These visits aim to acquaint students and faculty members with the mechanism of applying to the support that the Fund offers for innovative and entrepreneurial projects.
