AAU Participates in the Thirty-Seventh Arab Linguistics Conference in New York

Layla Al-Qanawati, from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at AAU, participated in the thirty-seventh Arab Linguistics Conference hosted by Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, from February 23 to 25, 2024. Al-Qanawati presented a paper entitled "Understanding and Expressing Emotions: Vital Aspects in Language Development in Children", in collaboration with Professor Reem Khamees, Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Long Island University, which was well received by the audience. Al-Qanawati received a travel grant from the Jordanian-American Educational Exchange Committee "Fulbright/Jordan". She benefited from the opportunity to engage in academic communication and exchange with a number of American researchers and academics, discussing potential cooperation in the fields of language disorders and the development of speech and language programs. The results emphasized the importance of researchers' participation in international scientific conferences as a means to enhance academic cooperation and exchange of experiences, reaffirming their commitment to academic excellence and continuous development in their respective fields of specialization.
