AAU Participates in the “No to Drugs…..Absher Ya Watan” Festival

AAU students participated in the “No to Drugs…..Absher Ya Watan” Festival which was organized by the “Absher Sayyidna” on Thursday, 7/11/2019 in the King Abdullah II Sports City/ the Prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein Hall. This event was attended by the Assistant Director of Public Security for Traffic, Brigadier –General Ziad Bakir, the Assistant Director of Public Security for Criminal Security, Brigadier General Khaled Al-Ajrami and a number of senior Public Security officers. The festival included a massive march of a large number of students of schools, universities and youth centers. During this event, self-defense shows were presented and musical performances performed by the Public Security Directorate in addition to the poetry readings and singing performed by a number of Jordanian artists. The Brigadier – General Ziad Bakir thanked the organizers of this activity as well as the participant and supportive bodies since such event contributes in supporting the security services in spreading awareness of the scourge of drugs and its impact on society and showing how to fight it in all available ways.The President of the “Absher Sayyidna” Body, Wael Ojailat, confirmed the “Absher” participatory role along with the Public Security Directorate in organizing this festival, to strengthen the national efforts in fighting the scourge of drugs and its impact on society by using new non-traditional methods such as art, theater and interaction. At the end of this festival, a number of former directors of female police were honored along with the parents of martyrs of duty of the Anti-Narcotics Department and artists participating in the festival.
