AAU Participates in the "Climate Change and Sustainability" Conference at Mu'tah University

Dr. Subhieh Suaifan, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at our university, participated in the Climate Change and Sustainability conference held at Mu'tah University on November 7, 2023. Dr. Suaifan presented a research paper in collaboration with Professor Reda Shibli from the University of Jordan titled: "Food Security in Jordan and the Transition to Green Economy" The paper addresses essential elements of food security, encompassing the availability and safety of food and the accessibility of food within the challenges of climate change. It highlights the importance of transitioning to increased production within limited space using innovative agricultural techniques. The conference served as a melting pot of intellectual exchange, attracting scholars and researchers not only from Jordan but also from various institutions across Arab and European countries. This collaborative effort stands as a testament to the collective dedication of academic institutions to confront and address the paramount issues of climate change and sustainability on a global scale.
