AAU Participates in the Arab Universities Union Meeting and Honors the President of Sultan Qaboos University

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, took part in the 21st annual meeting of the Arab Universities Union institutions, hosted by Sultan Qaboos University. The gathering brought together distinguished academics and scholars from various Arab universities to exchange ideas and experiences, aiming to enhance academic and research cooperation across the Arab world. In his opening remarks, Prof. Amer bin Saif Al-Hinai, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research at Sultan Qaboos University, emphasized the strategic significance of this meeting as a platform for advancing higher education and scientific research in the region. He highlighted that ongoing collaboration among Arab universities is essential for tackling contemporary challenges and reinforcing research and education efforts. Prof. Sari Hamdan expressed his gratitude to the Arab Universities Union for approving the establishment of the Cybersecurity Center for Arab Universities at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. He commended this initiative as a vital step in strengthening the university’s academic role and impact. Participants recognized the importance of the meeting in fostering cooperation and sharing innovative ideas to support higher education and scientific research in the Arab world. They underscored the necessity of continuing such engagements to further develop academic partnerships. Concluding the event, Prof. Sari Hamdan presented an honorary shield to His Highness Dr. Fahd bin Al-Jalandi Al Said, President of Sultan Qaboos University, in appreciation of his remarkable contributions to advancing academic collaboration among Arab universities.
