AAU Participates in the 2nd Jordanian International Biomedical Engineering Conference

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, participated in the Second Jordanian International Biomedical Engineering Conference (JIBEC), held at the Le Royal Hotel in Amman. The delegation was led by Professor Bashar Al-Tarawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Ayyad, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, along with several faculty members, administrative staff, and students from both the undergraduate and master's programs in the department. The conference included presentations of papers by international researchers on topics related to biomedical engineering and the systems and applications of information technology in medicine. Additionally, keynote speeches were delivered by global experts on various topics within the field of biomedical engineering. This conference reflects Jordan’s leading role in medical and scientific advancements in the field of biomedical engineering. It provides an opportunity for researchers and engineers to exchange experiences and foster collaboration in scientific research through the papers presented at the conference. It also opens avenues for collaboration that contribute to utilizing the potential of Jordan's biomedical engineering graduates from various Jordanian universities. Moreover, the conference emphasized the importance of biomedical engineering in improving and developing healthcare institutions by enhancing and updating engineering standards for this purpose. As part of its commitment to keeping up with the latest scientific advancements in biomedical engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University presented six research papers by faculty members: Professor Jamal Al-Nabulsi, Dr. Hamza Abu Uwaida, and Dr. Amani Al-Ghraibeh. The research covered all aspects of biomedical engineering, with one of the studies conducted in collaboration with the Royal Medical Services. Additionally, four research papers were presented by the department’s graduates.
