AAU Participates in Ideal Volunteer Project
The King Abdullah II Fund Career Development Center of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) is participating in the Ideal Volunteer Project run by East-West Center after the AAU team was nominated to represent Al-Balqa Governorate. The nomination came after 36 young men and women from the Kingdom governorates (three from each governorate) were trained in the following subjects: youth concepts and social work, voluntary work (concepts and management), developing creative and voluntary initiatives, teamwork, and using social interaction means. After the training, voluntary teams were formed in each governorate to execute a group of voluntary works and initiatives in their societies and to document them for a competition between these voluntary teams in the governorates for the best team and voluntary work. At the end of every month, a video of each team will be uploaded to Facebook showing the voluntary work it has engaged in and the way in which the team works. Rating the teams will be based on a weeklong voting to choose the best voluntary works by the Jordanian youth on this website, in addition to rulings by a panel of judges. This participation reflects Al-Ahliyya Amman University mission to qualify students professionally and to develop their creative skills.
