AAU Organizes Visit to Al-Bashir Hospital
As part of its social and humanitarian responsibility and with the aim of spreading happiness and putting a smile on the faces of sick children, the Higher Committee for Activities and Community Service at AAU, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the “Al-Ahliyya Youth Against Cancer” Club, organized a humanitarian visit to the pediatric cancer ward at Al-Bashir Hospital on Thursday, 29 May 2025.
The visit started with an introductory tour of the department, followed by entertainment segments designed to bring happiness and cheer to the children. Additionally, 100 gifts provided by Al-Ahliyya Amman University were distributed to the young patients, a thoughtful gesture warmly received by the medical team and the children’s families, who expressed their deep appreciation for this initiative, which helps lift the children’s spirits and support them during their treatment journey.
The hospital’s medical team stressed the importance of such initiatives in reducing the isolation and fear that children may feel during their treatment. They also highlight how these initiatives foster confidence in the medical team, connect the community, and promote human solidarity and compassion.
