AAU Organizes an Awareness Lecture on "Public Safety" for Students

The Deanship of Student Affairs/Department of Student Activities and Clubs, in collaboration with the Civil Defense Directorate, organized an awareness lecture on "Public Safety" for Al-Ahliyya Amman University students on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Al-Hourani Auditorium. This initiative is part of the university's ongoing efforts to promote public safety awareness within the academic community. At the beginning of the lecture, Dr. Nour Dabbas, Vice Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the attendees, including faculty, administrative staff, and students. She extended her sincere gratitude to Lieutenant Mohammad Al-Qatawneh and Lieutenant Razan Al-Faouri from the Civil Defense Directorate for their participation in spreading awareness about public safety. Dr. Dabbas emphasized the university's commitment to organizing such activities to enhance students' awareness and familiarize them with the importance of preventing risks they may face in their daily lives. Dr. Dabbas highlighted the Civil Defense Directorate's dedication to public safety and its efforts to implement comprehensive awareness campaigns aimed at educating the community about accident causes and prevention methods. She stressed the importance of both individual and collective awareness in maintaining safety and noted the responsibility of every individual to protect themselves, their families, and their communities from accidents and crises. This lecture is part of a series of activities organized by the university as part of its social responsibility, aiming to foster a culture of prevention among students and the local community. At the conclusion of the event, the university honored the Civil Defense Directorate. Dr. Nour Dabbas presented the university's shield to Lieutenant Mohammad Al-Qatawneh in recognition of their cooperation, while more than 100 students actively engaged with the lecture.
