AAU Organizes a Community Medical Activity Titled "Be Supportive and Leave an Impact"
Arena Sports Club, under the support of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Club President, organized a community medical activity titled "Be Supportive and Leave an Impact." The event was held in collaboration with the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, led by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Oraiqat, and the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by several student clubs, including the Aoun Club for Physiotherapy and Athar Club for Audiology and Speech Therapy.
The activity provided free medical services to students and staff, including various medical examinations, distribution of medical products, and health awareness and guidance lectures. These services were delivered by departments such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology and Speech Therapy, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Cosmetology, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Services were provided at the event venue and in the specialized clinics of the Audiology and Speech Therapy and Optometry departments.
The event witnessed significant attendance from students and staff. Prof. Ghaleb Oraiqat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Prof. Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, Dean of Student Affairs, and Prof. Muhammad Mubaidin, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Vice President of Arena Sports Club, praised the initiative during their field tour, emphasizing its importance in serving the university community and fostering collaboration among different faculties and student clubs.
The activity succeeded in raising health awareness within the university community and offered participating students a valuable experience, highlighting the importance of teamwork and volunteerism.
Dr. Muhammad Shashan, Advisor to the Aoun Club, emphasized that this initiative marks a significant step in enhancing the faculty’s role in serving the university community. He highlighted the importance of repeating and expanding such activities in the future to include broader segments of society.
