AAU Obtains Five Stars in the Evaluation of the QS World University Ranking for E-Learning

Al-Ahliyya Amman University fulfilled a new achievement in the international evaluation and global ranking by obtaining five stars in the QS evaluation of e-learning at the University. This confirms the University's readiness and the competence of its faculty members for the e-learning process. Prof. Sari Hamdan, the AAU President, explained that the University raised the level of the e- learning process and the necessary supportive infrastructure years ago and strengthened it during the Corona pandemic. He also said that the University is now undertaking a set of projects that would make a difference in the mechanism of providing an excellent educational service to the AAU students. In his turn, the AAU Vice President, the Director of Al- Hourani Center for E-Learning, Prof. Khaled Al-Kaabneh, said that Al-Hourani Center for E-Learning, which was established in 2007, supports all electronic operations necessary to provide an excellent e-learning to students. He also said that that during the past two years, the Center automated most of the processes and procedures related to the academic process. Regarding this evaluation, Dr. Anas Al-Saud, the AAU Assistant President for Accreditation & International Classification Affairs, clarified that upon the direction of the AAU President, the University submitted the evaluation request to the QS organization. This application includes ten themes, including the evaluation of the electronic performance of faculty members, the readiness of the infrastructure and the provided e-services, and others. After that, the University provided all of the necessary data and evidence in cooperation with all employees in the relevant departments, the most important of which is Al- Hourani Center for E-Learning. Dr. Anas added that the University will continue developing all the important standards, on top of which are the educational and research services, to advance the University on the ladder of the international university ranking.
