AAU Launches We pay for your Journey Campaign for the AAU and the Local Community Members

As part of the Sustainable initiatives, under the patronage of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, President Dr. Sadeq Hamed, the Deanship of Student Affairs/ Career Guidance and Follow- up Alumni Bureau organised We pay for your journey campaign I participate Ana Usharek Program. This was done on Thursday 19/4/2018 in the university stadium. The campaign aims at encouraging everyone to use electric cars and to increase charging depots in the vital areas and exterior roads. Also, it aims to use the renewed energy Solar cells to generate the required energy by the electric cars. Furthermore, it seeks to raise consciousness about the significance of using the electric cars. The essential goal of the campaign, which was launched by Al-Ahliyya Amman University, is to enact a new law that obliges public and private institutions and public installations to initiate charging points for the electric cars using the renewable energy. This new law should enable us to save over 300 million liters of fuel and to protect us from 700 hundred thousand Tons of released CO2 which reflects positively on Jordan environment and economy. It is good to know that a number of leading car companies participated in this campaign such as,Tesla- Nissan- Chevrolet- Ev king, Eco Engineering and Energy Solutions. Meanwhile, Miron Company talked about the significance of the electric cars as an environment friendly. Active participation was seen from Staff, Students and Community Members.
