AAU Karate Team Strikes Gold at Global Championship

Students from AAU, representing the national karate team, secured gold at the World Championship in Budapest, Hungary. Abdullah Hammad and Hassan Msarweh, from the Department of Physical and Health Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, emerged as champions in the team competitions. The national team for men reached its pinnacle with a final victory against the Egyptian team, determined by total points after a thrilling draw. Our university president, Professor Sari Hamdan, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Abdullah and Hassan for their outstanding feat. He expressed optimism for their ongoing success, foreseeing a future filled with more medals for Jordanian karate on the international stage. Remarkably, both athletes are recipients of full scholarships throughout their undergraduate studies at AAU.
