AAU Joins the Smart Card World in Partnership with Cairo Amman Bank
Al-Ahliyya Amman University has entered the world of smart cards through a recent agreement with Cairo Amman Bank to transform student, faculty, and staff ID cards into "multi-functional smart cards."
The agreement was signed by our University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, and the CEO of Cairo Amman Bank, Dr. Kamal Al-Bakri.
Hamdan highlighted the importance of this partnership, which reflects the fruitful collaboration between the education and banking sectors. He emphasized that this initiative enhances the student experience and provides them with a range of valuable services. He added that the smart university card will facilitate daily procedures for students, faculty, and staff, underscoring the university’s commitment to improving its educational environment.
On his part, Al-Bakri affirmed that Cairo Amman Bank continuously seeks to offer innovative solutions that support the education sector in Jordan. He pointed out that the card is not only an ID but also allows its holders to make payments at all points of sale inside and outside Jordan, shop online, and withdraw cash.
Cardholders can also recharge the card through Cairo Amman Bank branches across the Kingdom or via electronic payment kiosks (KIOSKS), which will be made available on campus in the near future.
Additionally, this card provides exclusive discounts when used at a wide range of stores that are partnered with the bank throughout the Kingdom.
With this initiative, Al-Ahliyya Amman University becomes one of the first universities to benefit from this unique service offered by Cairo Amman Bank in the local banking sector, reflecting the university's commitment to offering the best services to its students.
