AAU Hosts National Event Showcasing Jordan’s Support for the Palestinian Cause

Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) hosted a national event organized by the pioneering initiative Yalla Nesharek Yalla Nethazzab to highlight Jordan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. The event witnessed a large turnout of university students along with prominent national and academic figures. The event opened with welcoming remarks in which university representatives conveyed the greetings of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Prof. Sari Hamdan, University President. They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in empowering youth and encouraging their active participation in political and party life, in line with the vision of the Hashemite leadership. The event featured speeches by H.E. Dr. Wael Arabiyyat, who discussed Jordan’s longstanding support for the Palestinian people, and Prof. Habees Al-Awamleh, a leading psychology scholar, who addressed the support of higher education institutions and university students for the positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II. Their participation added valuable depth to the discussions. Dr. Nour Al-Dabbas, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, moderated the event and led a dynamic discussion, encouraging students to voice their views on national issues. AAU reaffirmed its support for His Majesty King Abdullah II’s firm stance against forced displacement policies targeting Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, stressing that the Palestinian cause remains a core priority for Jordan’s leadership and people. The event also included a heartfelt speech by Ahmad Rasras, a student from the Faculty of Law, reflecting the deep concern and engagement of Jordanian youth with national causes. The address was followed by open dialogue sessions with the guest speakers. At the conclusion of the event, the organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to AAU for its efforts in ensuring the success of the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives that enhance political awareness among Jordanian youth.
