AAU Hosts Former Minister Dr. Yousef Mansour

Our Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, Professor Anas Al-Soud, received His Excellency Dr. Youssef Mansour, former Minister of State for Economic Affairs, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Atiyyat. During the meeting, Prof. Al-Soud commended the organization of the legal forum and its role in enhancing the scientific and professional skills of students and its contribution to the development of the legal and economic community in Jordan. The Faculty of Law, represented by its dean and faculty members, hosted His Excellency Dr. Youssef Mansour in a dialogue session on “Franchise Contracts,” organized by the Legal Forum in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university. The session aimed to enhance the skills of speaking, discussion, critical thinking, and brainstorming among the students of the Faculty of Law, and to raise their legal competence on topics that interest the students and connect them to reality. The session covered several topics, including the nature of franchise contracts, the history of franchise contracts in Jordan, the size of franchise contracts in the Jordanian economy, their effects on the Jordanian economy, and the potential for the Jordanian economy to reach self-sufficiency without franchise contracts. The dialogue session was moderated by several students from the Legal Forum at the Faculty of Law: Mustafa Al-Rafi’i, Lynn Koksh, and Youssef Zaghrour. Additionally, Ahmed Rasras and Joud Al-Shakhaibi participated in managing the session. The event was attended by a large group of students from the Faculty of Law and members of the university’s teaching and administrative staff. In conclusion, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Nour Al-Dabbas, presented the university’s commemorative shield to the honorable guest in appreciation of his important visit.
