AAU Hosts A Lecture by Dr. Ahmad Al-Rugub

The AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan received the M.P. Dr. Ahmad Al-Rugub who is the Rapporteur of the Al-Quds Committee in the Jordanian Parliament. Dr. Al-Rugub delivered a lecture titled “Jerusalem Is in the Hearts & Eyes of the Hashemites”. The lecture was attended by the AAU Vice President, the Dean of Student Affairs, a number of academic & administrative staffs and a large student crowd. The AAU President thanked the M.P. and pointed out that this activity is in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research which call for organizing activities related to Jerusalem and supporting the stands of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The lecturer talked about the social, political and religious dimensions for the Hashemite’s Custody of Islamic and Christian sanctuaries in Jerusalem and all Palestine. He also talked about the honorable views and stands of His Majesty in encountering international pressures that intend to weaken the steadfastness of Jordan by altering Jordan’s principled & moral stance concerning Jerusalem and the Palestine Cause. Dr. Al-Rugub also emphasized His Majesty’s stand concerning Jerusalem which has been a point of popular cohesion and national consensus. Finally, Dr. Al-Rugub exchanged views and ideas with the audience all of which pour down to the importance and value of the Hashemite’s Custody of the Islamic & Christian Sanctuaries in Jerusalem.At the end, Prof. Suleiman Al-Lawzi honored Dr. Al-Rugub and handed him the AAU shield of appreciation.
