AAU Honors Winners of the Late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani Sixth Award for Recitation Mastery of the Holy Qur’an among Students of Jordanian Universities

Under the patronage of our President, Professor Sari Hamdan, the Deanship of Student Affairs held an honorary ceremony for the winners of the sixth Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani Award for Recitation Mastery of the Holy Quran among Jordanian university students. The ceremony took place on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Al-Hourani Auditorium. During the ceremony, Professor Sari Hamdan presented commemorative shields to the members of the judging committee in recognition of their efforts in ensuring the success of the award's activities. The recipients included Professor Abdulhamid Al-Kurdi, the general supervisor of the award, Dr. Asmaa Al-Omari from AAU, Dr. Moatasem Ballah Dabash from the Applied Sciences University, and Dr. Amal Al-Naimat from the University of Jordan, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyyat. The results of the student competition revealed that Mohammed Khair Al-Ashraf bin Kamaluddin from the International Islamic University achieved first place, while Mohammed Saleh Abdul Latif Al-Ghazawi from the University of Jordan secured second place. Mohammed Hussam Nayef Al-Baytar from Al-Balqa Applied University earned third place. In the female student category, Aya Saber Ahmed Hamad from the International Islamic University won first place, followed by Ruqayya Mohammed Atif Al-Qutaifani from AAU in second place, and Batool Luay Mahmoud Zein from Al-Hussein Technical University in third place. It is worth noting that the sixth edition of the award saw the participation of 18 Jordanian public and private universities, including Mutah University, Al-Hussein Technical University, Jarash University, the International Islamic University, Irbid Al-Ahliyya University, Aqaba University of Medical Sciences, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Al-Tafilah Technical University, Applied Sciences University, University of Jordan, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman Ahliyya University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Petra University, Hashemite University, and Al al-Bayt University.
