AAU Holds the “First Aids” Course for Women of Al-Balqa Governorate

Under the patronage of AAU President, Prof. Sadeq Hamed and in coordination with the Supreme Committee for Activities and Community Services, the AAU Faculty of Nursing held the “First Aids” Course for the women of Al-Balqa Governorate. This course took place on Tuesday, 13/2/2018 in the laboratories of Nursing Faculty.The course which lasted for three hours and was attended by fifty nine women aimed to serve the local community. The course included a practical training for several cases such as: burns, suffocation, falling down, fractures, wounds, bleeding and fainting cases of diabetics and heart patients as well as women emergency cases. During this course, women were trained to enhance their awareness of how to save the life of an infected person who needs immediate intervention when professional medical care is not available or access to the nearest help center takes a lot of time. At the end of the course, certificates of attendance were distributed to the participants.
